Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how TIJAART ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, discloses, and safeguards personal information when you use our package-forwarding service from the United States and United Kingdom to Pakistan. This page is maintained by TIJAART to answer common privacy questions about the service.

1. Who we are

TIJAART is a package-forwarding platform that provides customers with US and UK shipping addresses so they can shop from stores that do not ship internationally, consolidate multiple packages, and forward them to Pakistan. If you have any questions about this policy, contact us at support@tijaart.com.

2. Information we collect

We collect information you provide directly, information collected automatically as you use the service, and information from third parties involved in shipping and payments.

  • Account information: full name, email address, phone number, password (stored hashed), and country.
  • Identity & address book: shipping addresses you save for delivery in Pakistan and, where required by customs, your CNIC / passport / tax identifier.
  • Package & shipment data: sender names, tracking numbers, package descriptions, weights and dimensions, photos of parcels, and declared values with supporting invoices you upload.
  • Payment information: billing details processed by our PCI-DSS compliant payment processors. We do not store full card numbers on our servers.
  • Device & usage data: IP address, browser type, device identifiers, pages visited, and timestamps.
  • Communications: messages you send us through support, email, or WhatsApp.

3. How we use your information

  • Operate your virtual US and UK suites and receive packages on your behalf.
  • Consolidate, repack, and forward parcels to your address in Pakistan.
  • Process payments, shipping charges, DDP duties, and refunds.
  • Verify your identity and declared values for customs compliance.
  • Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, prohibited items, and abuse.
  • Provide customer support and send transactional emails (arrival notices, shipment updates, invoices).
  • Improve the platform, our pricing, and the user experience.
  • Comply with legal, regulatory, tax, and customs obligations in the US, UK, and Pakistan.

4. Legal bases for processing

Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we rely on: performance of our contract with you (to operate your suite and ship your packages), your consent (for optional marketing), our legitimate interests (fraud prevention, service improvement), and compliance with legal obligations (customs declarations, tax records).

5. Sharing your information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with parties that help us deliver the service:

  • Carriers such as DHL, FedEx, UPS, TCS, Leopards, Aramex and Pakistan Post, who need your name, address, phone number and package details to deliver your shipment.
  • Customs authorities in the US, UK, and Pakistan when a declaration is legally required.
  • Payment processors (e.g. Stripe, local Pakistani gateways) to charge you and process refunds.
  • Cloud hosting, database, email, and analytics providers acting as our processors under written agreements.
  • Law enforcement or regulators when we are legally compelled to disclose.
  • A successor entity in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

6. International data transfers

Because we operate warehouses in the United States and the United Kingdom and serve customers in Pakistan, your personal data will be transferred across these jurisdictions. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses with our processors.

7. Data retention

We keep account and shipment records for as long as your account is active and for a further period required by US, UK, and Pakistani customs, tax, and accounting laws — typically up to seven (7) years after your last transaction. Package photos are retained for 90 days after dispatch unless a claim is open.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, port, or restrict the processing of your personal data, and to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, email support@tijaart.com from your registered email address. We will respond within 30 days.

9. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards including TLS encryption in transit, encrypted storage, hashed passwords, role-based access control, and regular backups. No system is 100% secure; if you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately.

10. Children

TIJAART is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with data, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "last updated" date and, for material changes, notify you by email or in-app.
